Contraindications
Do not use in pregnancy, on broken or irritated skin, or over a rash, wound or recent scar.
Do not use if you cannot feel heat where the patch sits, or cannot take it off yourself. Reduced sensation, whether from diabetes, neuropathy, a circulatory condition or medication, is the main reason a warmer does harm.
Do not sleep in it. Hours of steady warmth against skin that is not moving can burn at a temperature that feels mild.
Do not double up. One patch at a time, and never over a heat rub, a medicated patch or another heat source.
Take it off if your skin reddens, stings or itches, or if the heat stops feeling comfortable.
Keep out of reach of children and pets; the heat layer is not to be swallowed. If you are managing a skin or circulatory condition, or you are unsure, ask your clinician first.

How long does the heat last?
Six hours. Warmth comes up over the first few minutes and then holds steady. Where you land in that range depends on your own body temperature, what you have on over it and how warm the room is — take the patch off once it cools.
Where do I put it?
Low on the abdomen, over underwear or a thin layer, is where most people want the heat. The lower back works just as well if that's where you feel it.
Can I wear it under clothes?
That's what it's for. It's thin and flexible enough to sit under a waistband, and quiet enough that nobody needs to know it's there.
Is it a medicine?
No. The Period Patch is a warming wellness product built on traditional Chinese herbal practice. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and it isn't a substitute for care. Period pain that stops you living your life is worth taking to a clinician.
